Pickwick 1A is now proudly Supply Nation Certified and Registered as a First Australian majority owned, managed and controlled business.
In September Pickwick 1A was awarded Supply Nation certification, recognising our business as one that is majority owned, managed and controlled by our nation’s First People.
As a leader in supplier diversity and endorsed by the Australian Government, Supply Nation connects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander initiatives with procurement teams from government and corporate Australia to transform the Indigenous business landscape.
To receive and maintain the highly coveted certification, businesses must undergo a rigorous process – including ongoing auditing – that verifies their status as an Indigenous majority-owned small to medium-size enterprise and ensures continuing compliance.
Pickwick 1A Chief Executive Officer Gary Oliver said he’s looking forward to working with Supply Nation and its members to achieve better economic outcomes for First Nation Australians.
“Certification gives members peace of mind and confidence knowing that the businesses they engage with – like Pickwick 1A – are genuinely Indigenous owned and run,” he said.
“It also supports us on our journey as we work hard to ‘Close the Gap’ on economic participation by creating a strong and diverse workforce that gives our First People equal employment and training opportunities in all areas, across all levels.”
Owner and Director Carol Malone also welcomed the news and confirmed Pickwick 1A is now one of just a small number of Supply Nation certified businesses within the facilities services industry making real and positive change.
